Michigan Radio recently broadcast an excellent radio story on how Detroit Future Schools is making school more human. This piece provides a peek into how DFS is integrating media, technology, and art into core subject matter, from social studies to math, while supporting students in developing positive social values and characteristics. The reason Detroit Future Schools uses digital media "is that we really believe that once you’re a creator rather than a consumer of media, you’re actually starting to imagine the world you want to make happen and make possible," says DFS teaching artist Nathaniel Mullen.
